None other than metal legends Slayer will headline the FortaRock Festival in 2012. Slayer has been one of the favorite bands of many metalheads for decades and FortaRock is proud to welcome one of the biggest metal bands of all time to Nijmegen. Slayer are one of the most distinctive, influential and extreme metalbands on the planet.

Combining the speed and fury of hardcore punk with the prominent guitars and vocals of heavy metal, Anthrax helped create a new subgenre of heavy metal. The band has reunited with vocalist Joey Belladonna and released the magnificent album "Worship Music" earlier this year.

Meshuggah played at the FortaRock Festival before in 2009. With a new album coming up, they will return to Nijmegen in 2012. Offering a unique style of metal, Meshuggah raised the bar for metal bands everywhere upon their debut.
